DAY 22: Darwin to Kalumburu

Left Darwin late morning, so whole flight was pretty warm, but views always make up for it… Alighted on the bay just north of Kalumburu before heading to the airport. Stayed at the mission, a charming old Catholic mission, with dongas out back for accommodation. The Father was hugely helpful, driving me back and forth to the fuel bowser to fuel up the plane. A very relaxed and friendly community, he had good crowds for both his Saturday evening and Sunday morning mass.
